Tag Clouds: Project Europe 2030 and Europe 2020

Here is a comparison of the tag clouds for the “Project Europe 2030” report of the Reflection Group on the Future of Europe and the Europe 2020 Strategy. In both cases words like “EU”, “Europe” etc. were deleted.

First Europe 2020 then Project Europe 2030:

Nice one. Now all we need is a ‘delta tagcloud tool’ to subtract one from the other and show us the results as a tag cloud …

You tweet ‘make your own conclusions’. Surely you have some of your own?

    Hi Ziga,

    I hope you are well.

I read the overview of the report, and while in the current climate I can understand the focus on the economy, innovative change and a move to a low carbon economy, I got the feeling that the suggestions were very similar to EU 2020 and the Lisbon Strategy.

Please don’t misunderstand, these are clearly very important subjects, and it is difficult to disagree with such a focus, but I’m sure lots of people had expected something more revolutionary.

It feels a little like the report ‘played safe’. Or did you simply all agree that we have the right ideas already?

    Cordially,

    Stuart
